1. Introduction
Tobination LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Ringlo mobile application ("Ringlo" or the "App"). Ringlo is a health and fitness tracking application designed to work with compatible smart rings. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our App.
By using Ringlo, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Name — your display name, used for your profile and the Friends feature
- Email address — used for authentication and friend invitations
- User ID — automatically generated by Firebase Authentication
- Profile details you optionally provide, such as date of birth, gender, height, and weight, used to personalize health calculations
2.2 Health and Fitness Data
When your smart ring is connected via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Ringlo collects the following data from the ring's sensors:
- Heart rate — real-time and continuous monitoring
- Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2)
- Sleep data — sleep stages, duration, and timing
- Heart rate variability (HRV)
- Blood pressure estimates
- Step count, calories burned, and distance traveled
- Readiness and stress scores — computed from the data above
2.3 User-Entered Data
You may optionally log additional information such as:
- Caffeine and alcohol intake
- Menstrual cycle data
- Sleep goal preferences and heart rate alert thresholds
2.4 Device and Diagnostic Data
- Ring device information — firmware version, battery level, and MAC address
- BLE diagnostic logs — Bluetooth communication logs uploaded to our servers for debugging purposes when the App is in debug mode
2.5 Bluetooth and Location Permissions
Ringlo requires Bluetooth access to communicate with your smart ring. On Android, the operating system requires location permission for BLE scanning. We do not track or store your location. The location permission is used solely for Bluetooth device discovery as required by Android.
2.6 Subscription Information
Subscription purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and managed through RevenueCat. We do not directly collect or store your payment card details or billing information.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide core App features — display your health metrics, compute readiness scores, track trends over time, and generate personalized insights
- Sync data across sessions — store your health history so it persists between app launches and across device changes
- Enable the Friends feature — allow you to share health summaries with people you explicitly approve
- Send notifications — alert you to low ring battery, abnormal heart rate, and other events you configure
- Manage your subscription — verify your subscription status and provide access to premium features
- Diagnose and fix bugs — use BLE diagnostic logs to improve ring communication reliability
- Improve the App — understand usage patterns in aggregate to improve features and performance
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing and improving the Ringlo service.
4. Third-Party Services
Ringlo relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:
- Firebase Authentication (Google) — manages user sign-in and account security. Firebase Privacy Policy

- RevenueCat — manages subscription billing and receipt validation. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipts. It does not receive your health data. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
- Resend — sends transactional emails such as friend invitation emails. Resend receives only the recipient email address and the email content. Resend Privacy Policy
We do not use any advertising networks, behavioral analytics trackers, or data brokers. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party.
5. Data Sharing
Your personal information is shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- Friends feature — If you accept a friend connection, a summary of your health data (readiness score, steps, heart rate, SpO2, and sleep) becomes visible to that approved friend within the App. You control who can see your data by approving or removing friend connections at any time.
- Service providers — The third-party services listed in Section 4 process data on our behalf to operate the App. They are contractually required to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
- Legal requirements — We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in two locations:
- On your device — Health and fitness data is stored locally in an SQLite database for offline access and fast performance.
- In the cloud — Your profile, health summaries, friend connections, and diagnostic logs are stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore, hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encrypted data transmission using TLS
- Firebase security rules restricting data access to authorized users
- Authenticated API access for all cloud operations
While we take data security seriously, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and you continue to use the App. Specifically:
- Account and health data — retained until you request account deletion
- BLE diagnostic logs — retained for up to 90 days for debugging purposes, then automatically deleted
- Local device data — remains on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data
If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our cloud systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Data portability — export your data in JSON or CSV format using the export feature in the App's Settings
- Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for optional data collection at any time through the App's settings
- Object to processing — object to certain processing of your personal data

9. Children's Privacy
Ringlo is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 10. Health Data Disclaimer
Ringlo is a consumer wellness and fitness product. It is not a medical device and has not been approved or cleared by the FDA or any other regulatory body for medical use. The health data provided by the App — including heart rate, blood oxygen, HRV, blood pressure estimates, and sleep analysis — is intended for general informational and wellness purposes only.
This data should not be used to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
11. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored on servers located in the United States or other countries where our service providers maintain facilities. By using Ringlo, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations. We ensure that any international data transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page
- Where appropriate, notify you through an in-app notification
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
